Bacolod Street Dancing Contest 2008

The Bacolod Street Dancing Contest is the highlight of the Bacolod Festival celebrations in the Philippines. This year a total of 22 groups competed in the Barangay Category of the Masskara Streetdance Competition while 16 groups competed in the Open Category and lets not forget Elementary and School Division where 11 schools took part. Here are the results and some photos from the event:

Barangay Catergory:

Grand Prize Winner: Barangay Bata
1st runner up: Barangay Mandalagan
2nd runner up: Barangay 23

Best in Mask – Barangay 30
Best in Costume – Barangay Mandalagan
Best in Choreography & Concept – Barangay Bata

Grand Prize: Barangay Mandalagan
1st Runner up: Barangay Villamonte – Cebuana Lhuillier
2nd Runner up: Barangay 23

Best in Costume – Barangay Villamonte
Best in Choreography – Barangay Villamonte

Best in Call & Response – Barangay Villamonte

Elementary and School Division:

Grand Prize: Jose Gonzaga Elementary School
