Michael Phelps Press Conference with Clothes ON!

My wife once went took my son to a banquet where is swim coach was also in attendance.
At first, my wife didn’t recognize the coach. After a moment she realized who it was and said, “I didn’t recognize you with your clothes ON.”
I wonder, would we recognize Michael Phelps with his clothes on?
He gave a press conference, fully clothed, and definitely happy.
Why not? 8 gold medals…7 world records, one Olympic record.
