Linebacker Will Witherspoon Traded to Receiver Brandon Gibson

Appearantly, Eagles have acquired The Rams linebacker,Will Witherspoon on October 20 to the Philadelphia Eagles to be traded with WR Brandon Gibson and a 5th round draft pick in2010. This whole NFL traded really affected The Eagles, requiring them to do something to improve their beleaguered linebacker position.

Witherspoon is in his 8th season out of Georgia and has posted 100+ tackles three times in his career. This season he has recorded 33 tackles and one forced fumble in six starts. Gibson may end up being a player, but he was never going to get any playing time, so his loss is minimal. Why not unload either Curtis or Brown? Because no team wants a high-salaried player!
