Ken Watanabe to feature in film about recovery process in Japan
Japanese stage, film and TV actor Ken Watanabe will now be featuring in a special co-production, which was recently announced by Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific, Discovery Communications Inc, Bang Singapore and Japanese public broadcaster NHK. The new program will have Watanabe as he witnesses the recovery process in the areas affected by earthquake and tsunami.
The actor will also be revealing how Japan’s advanced bullet train’s advanced system survived the disaster on March 11, 2011, which reported no human injury. Watanabe will also be seen visiting traditional Japanese cottage industries to see their recovery and talk about the future planning.
The special program will be symbolizing the spirit of a true international co-production in all the aspects of the creative process. The creative process will also be including the use of a Japanese director, editor and cameraman with an international executive production team.
The president of Bang Singapore, Keiko Bang said that it was an honour to be a part of bringing this project together. Bang said that the film would reflect the creativity, inspiration as well as the perspectives of Ken Watanabe.
