Japanese artist and musician Yoko Ono on January 12, 2012 said that the blooming art scene in India is a fertile ground for her experimental work. Ono is now preparing for her first show in the country.
Ono is all set to display multimedia pieces at the 20 venues in the capitol New Delhi from January 13, 2012.
The artist who is known for her outlandish ideas will also be holding a live performance at the weekend. Ono has returned to the Indian city for the first time after she made her last trip with her deceased husband John Lennon.
The artist said that she will be learning a lot of things from the beautiful and very grand land. The 78 year old artist said that she and her husband visited Mumbai and travelled to a mountain ashram of a spiritual guru.
While talking about the earlier visit Ono said that it was an incredible experience. Ono added that she and her husband described it something like out of the Bible going up this mountain when they were told by some of the people that men and women could not sit together.
