“North Pole is Mine, Mine, Mine…” Putin

Submitted by Bill Belew on Tuesday, 4 May 2010One Comment

Russia says the North Pole belongs to them…and all its gas, oil, and diamonds, too!

And, gosh, they might as well take Santa Claus and all the toys he has made for the world to boot. And, while Russia is at it, why not demand payment for profits of Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas future, too?

Putin says there is an underwater Russin ridge linked to the North Pole…so…it’s ours, Russia’s.

Mine…mine…mine…!

Moscow scientific missions to the region boast “sensational” geological discoveriesVladimirPutin_228x303.jpg enabling the Kremlin to make the territorial claim.

If Moscow’s claim is recognized…..”10 billion tons of gas and oil deposits as well as significant sources of diamonds, gold,

tin, manganese, nickel, lead and platinum” will belong to the Bear.

The North Pole region is now under the International Seabed Authority, which is what Russia is challenging.

I think if we dig down deep enough from my little postage stamp piece of land that I own in Sunnyvale, I might even find a link to the North Pole.

Gee, I wonder if I can stake a claim to all those riches, and treasures and…

Do you think Russia has a claim?

Why not Canada?
