Teen Pregnancies Blamed on Internet

Submitted by Bill Belew on Sunday, 15 August 2010No Comment

Nearly half of the teenagers who become pregnant in Shanghai, China’s financial capital, say they met their partners on the Internet.

46% of the 20,000+ teenage girls who called the first-aid hotline for pregnant teens in the past two years say they had sex with boys they met on the Internet.

79% of the high school and college students say they learned about sex from the Internet.

Only 7.9% learned from mom and dad…who got their ideas from the Internet?

The doctor who oversees the Shanghai’s hot-line blames:

1. adult websitesteenage.pregnancy.jpg

2. adult videos

3. adult books

4. inattentive parents

5. inattentive teachers.

The ruling Communist Party blames imported bourgeois mores from the West.

Let’s see…I’ll go with number 4. It’s the parents responsibility to teach their kids, including what to see and what not to see on the Net.

Why do you think teenagers make irresponsible decisions about sex?
