New Silk Road Model Contest 2007
How many ways can you think of to put women on display?
Kind of like what I am doing here maybe.
Here is yet another -
China’s Guangdong Province hosted the 2007 New Silk Road Model Contest in Guangzhou.
Out of 700 million women in China available and within driving distance of the silk road,
only 20 showed up for the finals. (prelims in such whittled down the number).
In the end 18-year old Chen Xin from Guangxi was crowned the winner.

So, why put women on the runway? Good attraction = good business = make money.
