Jurassic Park Planned for China

Beijing Jurassic Era Park Investment Management Company acting on behalf of a Japanese company that owns the rights to develop Jurassic Park Theme parks in Asia has signed a contract to build Jurassic Era Park in Yangling, Shaanxi Province.

220 million yuan has been set aside to build the dinosaur theme park so that the world-famous terracotta warriors will not be the only attraction in the area.

The park’s director says, “Jurassic Era Park is a theme park featuring acoustic, optical and electronic technology allowing for the integration of science, technology and culture. Tourists can expect to learn a lot. Entering the park, visitors will enjoy leisure, recreation and entertainment, all while learning about popular science.”

And if visitors will step into the roving jeep, they will be given a tour to see the live T-Rex, too.jurassic.park.jpg

The bottom line…enrich Shaanxi’s tourism industry = make more money.

Would you make a trip to Central China to see a Jurassic Era Park?

I think I’ll stay home.
