Help Find – Travel Blogger Gone Missing near Afghan/Pakistan Border

Submitted by Bill Belew on Sunday, 5 October 2008No Comment

A popular Chinese backpacking blogger, Yuan Tingting, working freelance has gone missing somewhere around the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The pretty 25-year-old has not updated her blog for more than two weeks…and the China Daily website fears the worst.

In late December, the blogger said she was going to Peshawar in Pakistan’s northwestern frontier. On January 9th, she updated her blog but has not been read from since.

Chances are, she can’t find a wi-fi hotspot in the world’s hot spot.

Afghan’s Asian department of Foreign Affairs Ministry says they have not heard about any accidents or misadventures of Chinese citizens.

The young lady from Sichuan province has been backpacking since she was 13 years old and has visited 40 countries – Egypt, Cambodia, Iraq ….

If any bloggers reading this have any clues about her whereabouts….please speak up.

Thanks!
