Fat, Unmarried No Longer Can Adopt Chinese Babies

Submitted by Bill Belew on Friday, 26 September 2008No Comment

The number of people adopting children in China is increasing. The number of abandoned and orphaned children are decreasing…perhaps because China’s economy and society are becoming more developed.

A byproduct of that development is that China will become more selective in who they will allow to adopt their unwanted children – usually girls.

Foreign agencies will ban:

1. Obese – the standard was not givenfat-people.jpg

2. Unmarried

3. Parents on anti-depressants

4. Disabled

These rules would not likely fly in the US with all its fair treatmen laws and such. But, then China does not have to play by American rules, does it?

Some think that the policy is aimed at preventing gay couples from adopting children.

China allows unmarried people to adopt children at home but officially bans homosexuals from adoption.

Are you planning on adopting a child from China?

Do you know someone who has?
