Condi Rice’s 5 Questions Concerning Chinese Economic Growth
China’s economy continues to grow and groW and grOW and GROW.
Well, maybe…
Condi Rice has reservations, questions?
1. How can China continue to create 25 million new jobs every year?
2. How will the already overcrowded cities accomodate folks moving from the countryside in droves?
3. How will China prevent accelerated degradation of its environment?
4. How long will it take for China to
wean itself from carbon-based energy and reduce greenhouse-gas emissions?
5. How can the world’s factory maintain quality and safety of goods?
Chinese leaders know they need to not only have answers to these questions, they need to be workable solutions and they need to be implementing them now.
And if they don’t, Professor Rice will be calling on them. Or will it be President Rice?
