Chinese Couple Wins Daughter Back in Court
A Chinese couple placed their daughter in the foster care of an American family almost eight years ago.
Now, they want their not little anymore daughter back.
A Memphis court was accused of bias against the Chinese couple when it ruled the couple had lost their rights to the child when they abandoned her at 3 weeks old.
The Tennessee Supreme Court, however, overturned the decision. Memphis is thinking, “thanks for supporting us!”
The Supreme court is saying that the parents voluntarily relinguished the custody of the child as a temporary measure due to financial hardship. The father lost his student stipend and scholarship when he was wrongly accused of sexual assault.
The American family, no matter what, does NOT want to give their little girl up.
According to her new family, the little eight year old doesn’t completely understand what is going on around her…all she knows is the family she grew up in.
The little girl, says her wannabe parents, has a sister and brother waiting for her.
So…um…what took the parents so long to want to have their little girl back? And have two children in the process?
What would happen if the parents of all the little Chinese babies started showing up now that things are good in China and said they, too, wanted their children back?

Anna Mae’s parents have been trying since May 2000 to get their child back. They needed safe, temporary foster care and never intended for the baby to be adopted.
