China Wants Gays to Use Condoms
The ministry of health announced that nearly 40,000 people reported to be HIV positive in the first 10 months of this year.
That number gets added to the total affected at the end of last year of 650,000.
The Chinese Disease Prevention and Control Center, going on their best guess that about 1% of the gay community is affected and that 5-10 million people are gay and playing around, what needs to be done is for gays to use condoms.
Someone took a survey – just 20% of active homosexuals use condoms. Uh….I am really interested to know how they came up with that number.
And the 5-10 million…whenever the second number is twice that of the first number, it is a good indication that there really is no idea how many.
To their credit, the CDC estimates that about 7.3% of HIV infection comes from the homosexual community…the rest from unsafe sex among heterosexual partners.
So, will condoms cut down on the spread of HIV in China?
