Taiwanese heartthrob Jay Chow wants to woo American audience as a singer

Jay Chou may have impressed moviegoers with a mainstream Hollywood movie, The Green Hornet, but seems like he doesn’t have his eyes set on an acting career in the West. The Taiwanese heartthrob, instead wishes to make it in the American glam world as a singer.

However, not being very good at English, he has declared he would be singing in Mandarin instead. Chou also stated his wish of garnering an interest among the American in Mandopop. He also feels grateful towards the producers for using a Mandarin song by him in the movie.

The smashing success of the movie has created a buzz among Hollywood for the Taiwan heartthrob, who have got up and taken notice of his talents. Yet, it seems like he didn’t manage to charm costar Cameron Diaz. Director Michael Gondry recently revealed that Diaz refused to kiss Chou on screen saying that it would make the story too complicated for her to handle.
