If you were to ask me who is the most beautiful East Asian actress, I would not answer you Zhang Ziyi,  Cecilia Cheung (yes the one from the Edison Chen scandal) or Gong Li. Instead I would say Korea’s, Lee Young Ae -she of the ‘Jewel in the Palace‘ fame.

I must confess I absolutely love her and I think she is by far one of the most naturally beautiful women to grace God’s green earth. Am I stretching the truth a bit too far? Well…I don’t think so since it is my opinion we’re talking about here.

She has the most amazingly clear porcelain skin, rose bud lips and innocently expressive light brown eyes I have ever seen, not the mention a most enviable head of thick lucious locks! But is it all just down to makeup? Well maybe but I don’t think so. Her sense of style has always been elegance with simplicity so even her makeup is a bare minimum application. You could say I’m biased but this is what I would say about Lee Young Ae:

Many women are pretty then made beautiful by cosmetics (plastic included), but Lee Young Ae is beautiful, then made perfection by the colours of makeup.
