Celine Dion is Queen Himiko

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 22 July 20103 Comments

Celine Dion, Canada’s superstar will provide the voice (song) for the Japanese language film “Maboroshi no Yamataikoku.”

She will sing in a bilingual version of the song, “A World to Believe in.”

Dion said she studied the lyrics and their meaning in great detail before doing her belting. Thank goodness Japanese pronunciation is easy to learn, even you don’t know what you are saying/singing.

The movie is about a wife who helps her blind husband find Japan’s lost kingdom of Yamataikoku. Queen Himiko was the ruler. When the place is found…song…happiness…tears.

What filmmakers are banking on is this climactic scene where Dion wows listeners who are watching.

And if Dion can make a killing…her heart will go on and on.
