Thailand’s “Ten Commandments of Love” for Teenagers on Valentine’s Day

Submitted by Bill Belew on Friday, 26 September 2008No Comment

Thailand’s Culture Ministry doesn’t want its teenagers to get carried away on Valentine’s Day.

One in six females said they would consent to sex on Valentine’s Day if they were asked. And, the boys are scrambling to see if their girls are one of those.

38% said they would refuse and 29% didn’t commit. The results were taken from a survey of 10-24 year olds in the Bangkok area! Ten year olds!

Consequently, the ministry has issued “Ten Commandments of Love.”

#1 – Love with patience, so as not to become a young parent.

#2 – Love only one person.

#4 – Avoid the risk of sexually transmitted diseases.

Others dealt with trust, respect, and forgiveness.

My advice to the girls …watch out for lines like “Please forgive me for wanting you….You know I respect you…and trust me, you won’t get pregnant.”
