Chennai is a bit off the beaten path from East Asia. But, not too far off. I got a taste of cricket when I was on a trip to India. However, I was living in Japan at the time. I found it interesting that Indians, Pakistanis, and Bengalis everywhere will try hard to find a big field (not easy in Japan) to play a cricket match any chance they can.
A recent series of seven one day matches was cut short by two because of the Mumbai terror attacks. With the MA Chidambaram Stadium a virtual fortress, England is back for a two test series that starts tomorrow – 12/11.
