I don’t have a clue what Jack Bauer and his save the world – “You gotta trust me” attitude has to do with Pachinko. But, somebody definitely paid out the gazoo to get the rights to have a ‘24′ pachinko machine.

To be sure, there are a lot of Japanese who sit mindless looking at these upright pinball machines under pretenses of having fun.

I tried it once. My father-in-law gave me a 100 yen coin (abt 45cents at the time). I put it in the machine and about six seconds and 20 some balls later it was gone, irretrievable, vanished.

That was it for me. I lose money easily enough, I don’t need to do it this way…even if Aki Hoshino is standing around with Tony while I do it.
