Search Engines, Google, Yahoo, Baidu told to clean up their act

Beijing has ordered the websites, including Google China, China Yahoo and Baidu.com, to clean up the content in their search results…within one week, or else.

The search engines must map out a procedute on how to:

1. dispose of illegal information

2. manage contentgoogle.china.search.jpg

3. deal with users’ complaints

Illegal and unhealthy information must be removed from their search results….though a clear definition was not given.

One of the 93 million Wangs said that pornography was just one target.

Pornographic novels were also attacked…including the Bible?

“The search engines know what they should do,” said Wang.

Uh…people with different morals in a free country, uh, don’t know what they should do, I think.
