Freedom of the Press - Not in China, Not Yet

China’s press watchdog has closed or penalized nearly 350 websites because they were publishing ‘pornographic’ novels.

Ten percent of them were judged to have “extremely pornographic content, causing great harm to the psychological development of young people.” Adults, too!

Since April, Beijing has stepped up anti-pornography efforts targeting illegal online activities:

1. distributing pornographic materials

2. organizing strip shows

3. sexually explicit images

4. sexually explicit stories

5. ……audio

6. ……video clips.

In just one month the polic had dealt with 244 cases and arrested 270 people.

Were they in the west they would NEVER catch all the people.

In a free country where people are free to do anything…some people will do ANYthing.

Still…I’ll take freedom and wish some people would be more responsible.
