Dang it! – Joburg Gets Miss World 2008
Had I known the Miss World 2008 organizers were looking so hard and wanted a decision so quickly, I would have volunteered to host the Miss World 2008 pageant at my place in Silicon Valley. We have a reputation here, too, you know.
Still when Ukraine ran into problems, Joburg stepped up and the Miss World Organization agreed. Hotel arrangements, suitable venue and the necessary backing all fell into place.

Yeah, if all these girls were coming my way, I’d be looking forward to it, too.
Last year, the hometown girl Zi Lin Zhang of China won. Are we to expect another home town girl?
It’s the 6th time that Joburg will host the competition.
